Alyssa Henneman is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Senior Policy Fellow and Young 5s through 6th grade special education teacher at Centreville Elementary School in Centreville, Michigan. She uses data to determine student strengths and needs, develops Individualized Education Programs, and coordinates student services. Previously, Alyssa taught special education in a resource room in Indiana and a self-contained classroom for students with autism in Michigan. She earned a BA in elementary education from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, MA in special education with a focus on autism from Western Michigan University, and an Administration Certificate from Western Michigan University.
