Laura Henry is a 2025-26 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow who teaches 10th grade English at Galena Park High School in Galena Park, Texas. She previously taught English at César Chávez High School in Houston Independent School District, where she was Teacher of the Year (2024) and English as a Second Language Teacher of the Year (2021). Laura is National Board certified in English Language Arts for Adolescence and Young Adulthood. She has a BA in English and theatre from Baylor University and MFA in theatre (playwriting) from the University of California, San Diego.
