Laura Hosman is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and an 11th and 12th-grade English teacher at West Tallahatchie High School in Webb. Laura serves as the speech and debate coach on her campus and works with the MS Delta Film Academy hosted at the Emmett Till Interpretive Center. She was awarded a fellowship from the Sié Chéou-Kang Center for International Security and Diplomacy at The Josef Korbel School of International Studies (2015-20) and served as a lab instructor at The Debate Intensive. Laura began her teaching career as a teaching assistant and transitioned to full-time teaching as a 2022 Teach for America corps member. Laura is an active member of the Mississippi Association of Educators and the National Speech & Debate Association. She earned a BA in political science from The University of Southern Mississippi, a JD from The University of Arkansas School of Law, and an MA in international studies from The University of Denver.
