Heather Houston is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and an ELA instructional coach at Liberty Grove Schools. Heather serves on the Teach Indy Educator Advisory Committee. She previously taught 2nd grade, served as the lead 5th-8th grade special education teacher, was a member of the MTSS team for Indianapolis Public School, and more. She presented at the 2023 Teach Indy Educators conference and is an alumna of the Indianapolis Teaching Fellows program and of AmeriCorps. She earned her BA in sociology from Wright State University, her MA in communication with an emphasis in education from Grand Canyon University, and an MA in teaching and her building level administrator’s license from Marian University.
