Brandon D. Hughey is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. He is the Director of Bands at Camden Fairview School District in Camden, Arkansas. Brandon focuses on teaching students in the area of 6th – 12th grade instrumental music, AP music appreciation, and college music appreciation. Brandon began his teaching career in the Pine Bluff School District. He was the band director at Jack Robey Jr. High and later was selected to lead the Pine Bluff High Marching Band. He earned his BA in music education from Southern Arkansas University and an MEd in Music Education with a jazz and choral concentration from Kent State University.
