Jee Su (Susie) Choi is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Indiana Teaching Policy Fellow. Susie serves as the regional director of professional development for Lighthouse Academies of Northwest Indiana working with teachers, paraprofessionals, and culture team members to create a cohesive but individualized and intentional professional learning experience to support their growth. Previously, she was a high school math teacher, teacher leader fellow, and assistant principal at Lighthouse College Prep Academy in Gary, Indiana and was a sponsor for National Honor Society and assistant coach for varsity cheerleading. Susie began her educational career in 2012 as a Teach For America corps member, teaching middle school math in East Chicago, Indiana. In 2015, she was part of the second cohort of Indiana’s Woodrow Wilson MBA Fellowship in Education Leadership. Susie received a BS in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA in Educational Leadership from University of Indianapolis.
