John Riley is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Change Agent. John teaches math and physics at Shortridge International Baccalaureate High School, where he also coaches academic super bowl and sponsors the math honor society. He led an effort to bring mathematical modeling methods to his district. Previously, he taught math and science at Scecina Memorial High School where he led the math department and sponsored academic competitions and music programs. He is retired from the United States Navy and has 20 years of management experience in and out of the military. He graduated from The Citadel with a BS in Electrical Engineering and received a MS in Electrical Engineering (with Space Systems Engineering) from the Naval Postgraduate School. He completed a Transition to Teacher Program in Math, Physics and Earth Science at Indiana Wesleyan University.
