Christian Jovel-Arias is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow who teaches 3rd grade bilingual mathematics at John Neely Bryan Elementary School in Dallas. He serves as a mentor for Journey Forward, which encourages and supports Dallas high school and postsecondary students to excel academically and professionally. Christian is a City Teaching Alliance alumnus who has also taught 2nd grade math at John Neely Bryan, 4th and 5th grade math and science at Nancy J. Cochran Elementary School, and 6th grade math at L.L Hotchkiss Elementary School. He has a BS in inclusive childhood education from the State University of New York at Cortland and MEd from Johns Hopkins University.
