Katheryn Kirchner is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Katheryn teaches English as a Second Language at Harshman Magnet Middle School, a 7th and 8th grade STEM and World Language Magnet in IPS. Since joining the staff in 2013, she has directed and organized Harshman’s International Day and coached volleyball. Katheryn is a member of the Linguistically Diverse Fellowship as an alumna of Teach For America and has helped create district curricula for English Language Learners. She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a BS in International Studies and Economics and earned an MAT from Marian University specializing in secondary ESL.
