Keeshia Winfert is working on increasing student engagement. Keeshia teaches family consumer science and contemporary world issues r at CICS Longwood Academy, where she is the high school lead teacher. Keeshia previously served as both social studies department lead and 11th grade lead teacher. Keeshia works with students in and outside of the classroom as the school’s student council advisor. She has received several leadership awards at Longwood and was most notably named the school’s New American Hero. Keeshia graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences and an endorsement in secondary education.
