Jennifer Kelso is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. She is a 3rd grade teacher and Student Success Team Coordinating Teacher at Fairmont Elementary School in El Cerrito, California, coordinating resources for struggling students from transitional kindergarten through 6th grade. Jennifer has been Technology Teacher Leader for her school, as well as a member of the Safety Committee. She received the West Contra Costa Unified School District’s You Make a Difference Award (2015). As a special education teacher, Jennifer published two peer reviewed articles. She earned a BA in sociology and a minor in French from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s of special education from San Francisco State University, and General Education Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Special Education Teaching Credential from Sacramento State University.
