Paris Kent is a returning 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow. She teaches 9th-12th grade fine arts dance and is the eMotion Dance Company Director at Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas. She is the department lead for dance, and also focuses on creating dance curriculum for her campus and district. Paris is a past teacher mentor and team lead for incoming teachers at her school. She is a Debbie Allen Dance Academy recipient, as well as a Dance Educators Performance Scholarship recipient (2017-2019). Paris began her teaching career in 2015 and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi and the Texas Dance Educators Association. Paris is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship alumna. She earned her BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University and MEd in education administration from Lamar University.
