Andrea Kiesling is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus New Mexico Network Teacher Leader . Andrea is an elementary special education teacher at Alvis Elementary in Clayton, New Mexico. She focuses on fostering a love of learning for students with learning disabilities in math, reading, and writing. Prior to her role as a special education teacher, she was a 2nd grade teacher. In addition to teaching, Andrea is also a committee member for the Professional Practices and Standards Committee (PPSC) for the New Mexico Public Education Department and locally serves as a member of the Union County Youth Supporters. She earned both a BA and MA in Music from The University of New Mexico in vocal performance and earned an MS in education from the University of the Southwest.
