Dwayne Lacy is a 2025-26 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow who teaches 8th grade U.S. history at Beckendorff Junior High School in Katy, Texas. He is a Teacher Mentor and previously served on the Campus Advisory Team. Dwayne is a Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship alumnus (2023-2024). Previously, he taught Texas history and U.S. history at West Briar Middle School in Houston Independent School District, where he served as the Social Studies Department Chair for seven years. Dwayne has a BA in radio and television from Sam Houston State University and MA in education-teacher leadership from Grand Canyon University.
