Laurent Rigal

Laurent Rigal is a Teach Plus Maryland Teaching Policy Fellow who teaches AP physics and physics for the science and technology magnet program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Laurent is a member of the his district’s small group of physics teachers in charge of writing a new curriculum aligned with the new Next-Generation Science Standards (NGSS). He is an alumnus of the Education Pioneer fellowship where he worked with the Fordham Institute on the role of teacher unions in the U.S.  Laurent has previously taught physics at the Paul-Sabatier University (France) where he holds an Associate Professor position. He graduated from the National Institute of Applied Physics (France) with a MSc in Engineering and a PhD in Physics, and received his MEd in Education Policies from the George Washington University.
