Kristin Lewis is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Kristin is a 4th grade teacher at Wood Elementary School in Arlington, Texas. She is the ELA Department Lead for pre-K through 6th grade and focuses on vertical alignment across grade levels to help create authentic differentiated instruction in order to meet the needs of all learners. Kristin was named campus Teacher of the Year and was an Arlington Will Award and Recognize Excellence 2nd-4th grade Winner. Kristin spent three summers teaching English abroad in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and served as the team’s elementary school team leader and curriculum writer. Over her 17-year career in teaching, she has taught grades 1-5 with the most significant experience in 4th grade. She earned her BA in elementary education with a concentration in reading from Dallas Baptist University.
