Liz Fyffe is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Liz teaches at the Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) on the Southwest side of Chicago. She teaches in a 3rd grade two-way immersion (Spanish/English) classroom. She co-founded the dual language program in her school and sits on the board of directors for AGC as the teacher representative. Liz co-facilitated the implementation of an ISBE grant for a dual language professional development series of workshops offered to Chicago Public School teachers. Liz has been a UTEP, University of Chicago teacher mentor and participated as a member of the AGC hiring committee for many years. She has a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University and a MA in Social and Cultural Foundations of Education from DePaul University.
