Adrianna Lynn is a 2022-2023 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader and a Teacher Academy Instructor at Kent Career Technical Center. She teaches year one students in the program, preparing young people for a potential career in education. Her focus is on facilitating an equitable education through discourse, critical pedagogy, and student-centered learning. She has held previous roles as a department lead, instructional coach, reading interventionist, and teacher mentor within secondary ELA. Adrianna received the Segal Americorps Scholarship in 2020. Adrianna began her teaching career in 2018 through Urban Teachers and Johns Hopkins University where she taught 6th and 8th grade ELA for several years. She earned her B.S. in Sociology and Spanish from Central Michigan University, her M.S.Ed. in Secondary Education: ELA and Special Education K-12 from Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and currently, she is enrolled at Grand Valley State University to receive her Educational Specialist degree.
