Ericson Macapuno is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus New Mexico Change Agent and a 6th-8th grade math teacher at Santo Domingo School in Kewa Pueblo. He supports educators in professional learning communities by facilitating the development of aligned lesson plans, success criteria, and exit tickets. Ericson was recognized as a district Master Teacher in 2024, won district Teacher of the Month in September 2023, and was honored as the Spartan of the Month in August 2023. He has been in the field of education for 17 years, during which he coached the district’s young journalists and radio broadcasters in the Philippines from 2013 to 2018. He earned his BS in elementary education and MA in education from the University of Batangas, Philippines and a PhD in English language studies from the Lyceum of the Philippines University.
