Tarzan is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. He is a 9th through 11th grade math educator, teaching Algebra 1 and geometry at the Academy at Palumbo in Philadelphia. Tarzan is the sponsor of the Rock Band Club at his school, mentoring students who play and perform rock music on traditional instruments. He served as the school test coordinator at his former school. Tarzan was a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow as a part of the Institute for Citizens & Scholars beginning in 2020 and was recognized as a Roothbert Fellow that same year through the Roothbert Fund. He earned a BA in educational studies and mathematics from Swarthmore College in Philadelphia, and MSEd and teacher certification in 7-12 mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
