Madelene Denton is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow who teaches kindergarten at Greenbriar Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Madelene comes from a family of teachers: her grandfather was a teacher and principal, her mother is a professor, and her aunt is a 4th grade teacher. Madelene believes preschool should be a primary focus in education today. She graduated from Ball State University with a BS in early childhood and elementary education and an MA in early childhood education and leadership.
