Tooba Mansoor is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and a biology and chemistry teacher at Henry Ford Early College in Dearborn. As an advisor for Michigan’s Future Health Professionals (HOSA), she provides opportunities for early college students interested in STEM and healthcare career paths to gain knowledge, leadership skills, and experiences. She is a secretary for the school board and the Metropolitan Detroit Science Teacher Association and is the director of the STEM program for Muslim Youth of Greater Detroit. Tooba was named Michigan Teacher of Promise (2014-2015); Drones National Grand Prize Winner for Math, Science, and Technology Center (2019), and received the Humanitarian Award from the Detroit Chapter of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center (2022). She completed Advanced Placement Environmental Science Training from AP Summer Institute and holds leadership course certification from Harvard University. Tooba began her teaching career as a 2014 Michigan Teacher of Promise. She earned her BS in biology and her MA in science teaching with a concentration in biology and chemistry from Wayne State University.
