Mary Rayford-Palmer is a 2021-2022 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader. She is a 6th-8th middle school special education teacher at Clague Middle School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mary focuses on teaching children with multiple disabilities to support their academic and social behavior and advocate for them to have a voice in the learning community. Mary served for two years in the Ann Arbor district as curriculum developer for Sexual Health for Special Education (2019 and 2021). Mary is an Adjunct Professor at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the School of Education (2018-2021). Mary earned her BA in Psychology from Wilberforce University and an MA in Learning Disabilities from the University of Detroit Mercy.
