Georzetta Henderson-McDaniel is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and a 7th-9th grade self-contained special education teacher at Robert L. Merritt Junior High School in Indianola. Her commitment to providing a tailored and supportive educational environment has been the cornerstone of her 14-year career. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Georzetta serves as the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Coordinator. Georzetta previously led the special education department and managed district-wide transition programs. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Georzetta holds a BA in criminal justice from Alcorn State University. She obtained her Alternative A teaching license, special education K-12, mild to moderate from the University of Mississippi, Teach Mississippi Institute.
