Melissa McMickle is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Indiana Innovations Teacher Collaborative teacher leader who teaches 4th grade at Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School in Indianapolis. A veteran educator, Melissa has taught at various grade levels, served as the curriculum team lead, and worked with educators throughout the district to develop quality standards-based instruction for all students. She was awarded the VEXIQ Robotics Start Up Grant through the state of Indiana, which led her to coach a Robotics team and run a Robotics and Engineering Club in an effort to engage students with STEM concepts. She graduated from Johnson University with a BA in Urban Studies and received her MEd in Literacy, Culture, and Language Education from Indiana University-Indianapolis.
