Dana Mensher is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Dana is a math instructional support teacher at Zephyr Elementary School in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. She works to find targeted interventions in order to empower students to set and achieve their individual needs and learning goals. Beyond the classroom, she serves on multiple committees to advance educational excellence in her building and district. Dana began her teaching career in northern New Jersey in 2002. Dana has collaborated extensively with her colleagues to create her district’s successful K-5 Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework. She is proud to serve as the vice president for the Whitehall Music Parent Association, the nonprofit organization that supports the Marching Zephyr Band. She earned a BA in humanities from York College of Pennsylvania. She earned her MEd in curriculum and instruction and completed her K-12 principal coursework from Kutztown University.
