Payal Mital is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and is a high school teacher leader at South Fayette School District. Payal is the assistant coordinator for SHOUT (Social Handprints Overcoming Unjust Treatment) club. Payal has previously served as the head of her school’s science department. She was awarded Magee Womens Postdoctoral Fellowship (2014-2016). She completed a BS in Biotechnology from Nagpur University, India. Shea came to the United States to pursue a MS and PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock.
