Monica Hill is a returning 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow. She teaches high school science and serves as the middle and high school science department chair at the Secondary Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) Campus in Houston, Texas. Monica previously taught 5th grade math and science and 8th grade science. She has also served as a data tracking and assessment specialist, campus-based mentor, effective practices specialist, and problem-solving communities’ facilitator at Secondary DAEP as part of Houston Independent School District’s Career Pathways Teacher Leader Program. Monica was recognized as 2019-2020 Teacher of Year at Secondary DAEP and is a Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellowship alumna. She has a BS in business management from the University of Phoenix and MEd in curriculum and instruction.
