Jason Lee Morgan is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Educator Diversity Action Network Member. He is a high school mathematics teacher, curriculum specialist, and program director at Dominguez High School in Compton, California. Jason coordinates the school’s Freshman Transition Experience and supports Black student achievement. He has served as Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) coordinator, activities director, and district staff developer. Jason was California League of High Schools Regional Educator of the Year (2015), Above and Beyond Outstanding Teacher of America Honoree (2017) and Los Angeles Legacy Award Champion Educator (2022). He is a consultant for the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s AVID and College and Career Readiness Unit, and was appointed to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing working group. Jason earned a BA in economics from Stanford University, teaching credential through the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s District Intern Program, and MS in curriculum and instruction design and research from Western Governors University.
