Ellen Nabeti is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and an instructional coach for grades 3 to 5 at Sunnyside Intermediate School in Berkeley. Ellen has taught, coached, and written curriculum for students and teachers in grades 3 through high school. She served as an educational volunteer in the Republic of Kiribati as a Peace Corps volunteer and taught English as a Second Language to newcomers in the St. Louis Public Schools. Ellen holds a PEL certificate with endorsements in ESOL, ELA, and Social Science. Ellen has served as a building union representative and a member of the collective bargaining team. She earned her BS in Education with middle school social science and ELA credentials from St. Louis University, certification in ESOL from Webster University, and her MA in Language and Literacy from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
