Jaynelle Nestle is a 4th grade teacher at Casis Elementary in Austin, Texas. She is passionate about teaching all children to be self-advocates. She has been an assistant principal and math committee Chair, and currently serves on the Superintendent’s Teacher Focus Group. Jaynelle was named Casis Elementary Teacher of the Year (2003-2004 & 2015-2016). She was also a regular contributor to Instructor Magazine (Scholastic Teacher). Jaynelle began her career in Illinois as a Curriculum Enrichment teacher for first-third grade. She then became a technology instructor at Highcrest Middle School in Wilmette, Illinois. Jaynelle is a National Board Certified Teacher and has taught 3rd-6th grade in addition to administrative experience. She earned her BA with a double major in Psychology and Elementary Education and a minor in religious studies from North Park College in Chicago and earned her MEd in Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin, Texas.
