Isamar Nuñez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Independence Mission Schools Teacher Leadership Project member and a middle school math teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School. Isamar has been teaching since 2020, across platforms and within the Independence Mission Schools. Isamar’s consistent work in expanding the horizons of her middle school students in regards to secondary education has allowed her current school to receive the 2023-2024 High School Readiness Visionary Award. Isamar is the Director of the La Salle Summer Enrichment Camp and works on marketing and fundraising for the youth of St. Michael’s Parish. She earned her BA in middle level education and special education with a concentration in mathematics. She is studying educational leadership at Immaculata University.
