Amy Palo is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow who teaches 10th grade World History, 11th grade American History, and AP US History at Cornell High School in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Amy serves as the Social Studies Department chair and is the Union President for the Cornell Education Association. Amy has received the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s TransformED fellowship (2022); Pennsylvania James Madison Fellowship (2018); and the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh’s Oehmler Award (2013). She earned a BA in Secondary Education, Social Studies with a minor in History from the Pennsylvania State University, an MA in Political Science from the University of Illinois-Springfield, and is currently working on completing a graduate certificate in Genocide and Holocaust Studies at Seton Hill University.
