Rebecca Pariso is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Senior Policy Fellow. She is a 7th grade math and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) teacher at EO Green Junior High School in Oxnard, California. Rebecca focuses on teaching all students math at the highest level, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, cognitive ability, special needs, or language spoken. She was named Ventura County’s Outstanding Teacher of Mathematics (2021) and was selected to serve on the California Department of Education’s Mathematics Curriculum Framework and Evaluation Criteria Committee (2021). Rebecca is the Vice President of the Ventura County Mathematics Council and the California Mathematics Council Southern Middle School Editor for the professional math journal, The ComMuniCator. She earned her BA in liberal studies from California State University, Channel Islands, and MEd from National University.
