Patrick Kelly is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow who teaches High School Special Education at Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake. He is a lead teacher in the SELF Program (Social Emotional Learning Foundations) where he works with students who have Behavioral and Learning Disabilities. Patrick coaches football and softball and serves as the Activities Director for his school. He graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in Special Education and earned his MEd in Education Policy and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where his focus was looking at diversity and equity in education.
