Chatlin Pearson is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and an Academic Dean for grades K-2 at Enlace Academy in west Indianapolis. Chatlin has served students ranging from 6 months to 6th grade in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, interventionist, reading specialist, and academic/culture coach. Chatlin began her teaching career on the eastside of Indianapolis as a 5th grade teacher, and has since pursued her passion of coaching and supporting her fellow educators on how to best serve students. Chatlin was a 2022 presenter at Teach Indy and a 2023 presenter at PATINS, speaking about best practices for serving multilingual learners, identifying implicit biases in instruction, and accessibility for all students. She was a 2023-2024 member of the McCurry Cohort Leadership Fellowship. Chatlin graduated from Indiana University with a BA in elementary education and a minor in sociology and holds a licensure addition for Teaching English as a Second Language from IUPUI Indianapolis.
