Alex Peffer is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Alex is a 4th grade teacher at Highland Elementary School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Alex is committed to and passionate about working with his school’s large English language development population, and serves as a grade-level leader on his school’s Multi-tiered System of Supports-Academic data analysis/goal-setting team. Additionally, Alex co-directs and produces an annual musical for 4th and 5th grade students at his school, the only production of its kind in the school district. Previously a 3rd grade teacher, Alex received the West Shore School District ACCLAIM Award for “Potential in the Profession.” He has also been recognized by the West Shore School District’s Administrative Council for his leadership of various extracurricular activities. Alex earned his BA in Christian ministries from Messiah University and a MS in teaching, learning and curriculum as well as his PreK-Grade 4 teaching credential from Drexel University.
