Irisalba Pino is 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent. She is an Instruction and Intervention Coordinator/Math Lead at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Long Beach, California, focusing on coaching 3-5 grade teachers in math so they can implement effective instructional strategies that ensure personalized student support. Irisalba also identifies and addresses learning gaps in order to provide necessary resources to help students thrive. She has taught kindergarten-4th grade and has been a facilitator in a dual immersion program, as well as a Cotsen Mentor (2008-2010). Irisalba earned her BA in liberal arts and a Multiple Subject Bilingual Teaching Credential from California State University Northridge.
