Valeria Puildo is a returning 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow and a 10th grade IB English teacher at Cesar Chavez High School in Houston. She is the team leader at her campus and previously served as department chair. Her experience encompasses creating IB curricula that strengthen teacher-student relationships while exploring the world through multiple lenses. She was a member of the 2021-2022 New York Times Learning Network Fellowship, where she helped create a curriculum that embodied current events and identity. In 2022, she participated in the Latinos for Education Teacher Fellowship to embrace and push Latinidad to greatness. Valeria earned her BS in interdisciplinary studies and an MEd in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University, College Station.
