Victoria Purrell is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Nevada Policy Fellow and is a 6th grade science teacher at Churchill County Middle School in Fallon. She focuses on modern teaching playlists, learning guides, and standard-based scoring. Victoria is a member of her district’s Modern Teacher Steering Committee and has led the implementation of the science curriculum on her campus. Victoria was a state finalist for the PAEMST- Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching (2016) and was Churchill County Teacher Association-Teacher of the Year (2005). Victoria became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence-Science in 2019. She earned her BA in Liberal Arts and Elementary Teaching Credential from California State University and an MEd in Literacy Studies from University of Nevada.
