Elizabeth Queathem is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and is a 6th-grade Literacy teacher, grade-level chair, and member of the leadership committee at Meekins Middle School in Stuttgart. She focuses on increasing literacy by sparking a love of reading and providing opportunities for students to express themselves authentically. Elizabeth is an alumna of the Japan Exchange and Teaching program. She taught English in Japan and Korea for six years to multiple ages before returning to Arkansas to continue her journey in education. She earned her BA in East Asian Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her MA in Teaching from the University of Central Arkansas.
