Felix Quiñónez is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent. He is a Physical Education Elementary Mentor Teacher at multiple schools. Felix is a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) alumnus, LAUSD Teacher of the Year (2020), and National Board Certified Teacher. He inspires multigenerational learning by advocating a growth mindset. Felix reinvigorates a school’s community by bringing sustainable programs that promote a culture of movement and a tenable social-emotional support system, providing an inclusive social context that welcomes diverse learners. He has presented at National Board conferences, co-presented at district New Teacher Institutes, and has contributed teacher input in overall district policies, as part of the previous Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council. Felix has a BA in international business from California State University, Fullerton, and a MEd from the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds a multiple and single subject teaching credential.
