Yosselin Ramirez is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Yosselin is a 1st grade dual language teacher and 1st grade building team leader at Howe Elementary in Beach Park, Illinois. She focuses on bilingual and biliteracy development for dual language students, is a member of a Code.org cohort to bring STEM opportunities to Howe, and is establishing a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee at BPD to advocate for bilingual and ELL students. She earned her BS in elementary education with an ELL endorsement and Spanish bilingual certification from Concordia University Chicago. She is expected to graduate with an MBA in educational leadership and principal endorsement from Milwaukee School of Engineering in December.
