Yalanda Salone is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Yalanda teaches 10th grade chemistry and IPC at Foy H. Moody High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. Yalanda is a current member and committee chair of Legislature and Research of the Delta Psi chapter of Kappa Gamma Society International. She is an executive board member for AFT-CC in Corpus Christi, Texas, a NBCT candidate, and has written curriculum for Corpus Christi ISD. Yalanda graduated with a BS in landscape architecture from North Carolina A&T State University and received her MS in secondary education from Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
