Kayleigh Schneider is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and a middle school science teacher, science department chair, and National Junior Honor Society advisor at Comstock STEM Academy in Kalamazoo. She focuses on teaching the whole student by incorporating social-emotional learning and soft skills into her science curriculum and serves on the diversity, equity, and inclusion committee at her school. She previously taught high school chemistry and served as the chemistry professional learning community lead at North Oldham High School in Goshen. Kayleigh began her teaching career as a 2014 Teach Kentucky cohort member. She earned her BS in chemistry from Hope College, her MA in teaching from the University of Louisville, and her MA in school counseling from Spalding University.
