Shamia Hopper is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is a founding fourth-grade team leader and teacher of Smilow Collegiate Charter School in Jackson. She is in her third year of teaching, having previously taught kindergarten inclusion. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from Millsaps College and an MEd in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
