Andre Shaw is a 2024-2025 Illinois Policy Fellow, high school special education teacher, case manager, and volleyball coach at Niles North High School in Skokie, Illinois. He is also an adjunct professor at Judson University in Elgin, where he teaches undergraduate special education courses. Andre is a member of the Freshman On-Track Committee and the School Improvement Team. In 2024 as the Niles North boys volleyball head coach, the team won its first conference championship since 1998. Andre earned his BA in sports and recreation management from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and his MA in special education and teaching from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He also holds an MEd in curriculum and instruction and an administrative certificate from the American College of Education in Indianapolis. Currently, he is pursuing his EdD in special education from the American College of Education, with an expected completion date of 2027.
