Shawna Robinson is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and high school math teacher at the Monroe County Advanced Learning Center in Amory. Shawna is her campus’ Mu Alpha Theta sponsor and co-creator of the school-wide ACT initiative. Shawna has been named STAR Teacher six times, was named ALC Teacher of the Year (2016-2017) and was recently a National Board Ambassador for the state of Mississippi (2020-2021). She is a National Board Certified Teacher. She earned her BA in English Education from Mississippi University for Women and her math endorsement through Mississippi State University. Shawna recently earned her EdD in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Mississippi.
