Chief Master Sergeant (retired) Dylan D. Smith is a 2025-2026 Houston Policy Fellow who teaches in the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Texas. He also co-sponsors the marksmanship, drone, drill, and color guard teams. Dylan is a Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship alumnus, most recently as a Senior Policy Fellow (2024-2025). He became a teacher after serving 30 years of active duty military service. Dylan has a BA in management studies from the University of Maryland, MS in leadership from Walden University, MEd in educational leadership from Lamar University, and is pursuing an EdD in curriculum and instruction (technology and instructional design) from Liberty University.
