Monica Smith is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and a high school mathematics teacher, first-year teacher mentor, and cooperative teacher at Camden Fairview High School in Camden. With more than two decades of teaching experience, Monica has served students in various capacities, including being a department head and club sponsor. She was named Bethune Alternative High School’s Teacher of the Year (2007-2008) and received the President’s award Pontiac School Board (2005-2006). She earned her BS in secondary education mathematics from Alabama State University, a graduate certificate in microcomputer application from Oakland University, and an MS in applied behavior analysis from Ouachita Baptist University.
